Shepperton Village Fair
With an almost completely dry day and even some sunshine, the Shepperton’s 50th Village Fair was a great success on Saturday 8th June. Our two clubs, Shepperton and Sunbury and Shepperton Aurora, set up their ‘Rotary Village’ with lots of family entertainment; our children’s ‘Hogwartz’ roller coaster Ride, the ever popular Football Game, a Golf Challenge, the new Scalextric competition, ‘Play your Cards Right’ game, ‘Hook a Duck’ and ‘Where’s the Wine’ Tombola. The funds raised from these games covered the cost of all of our stalls, which importantly included 9 stalls for other local charities and voluntary organisations: Purple Angels (Spelthorne Dementia Support), Home-Start (Spelthorne), Shepperton Village Conservation Group, Surrey Clubs for Young People, Lourdes Group, Jacqueline’s Garden, Patient Cancer Support Group, CAMEO Day Centres and Girlguiding Shepperton.
